Conde Highlights the Importance of Collaboration so that Companies can Meet the Challenge of Digital Transformation

  • They discovered the projects in which this reference company is working in the field of artificial intelligence and also of unmanned aircraft through the Rozas aerospace pole 
  • The Galician ICT sector generates 22,000 jobs and represents 2.1% of the Galician GDP
  • The Galician Government will continue accompanying the productive sector so that new technologies reach every one of the Galician companies and so that innovation could be one of their differential elements

 

The Galician Regional Minister of Economy, Employment and Industry, Francisco Conde, highlighted today in A Coruña the importance of collaboration between administrations, universities, knowledge centers and companies so that the Galician productive sector can face the challenge of digital transformation.

Francisco Conde and and Fernando Guldrís, General Director of Xesgaliciavisited this morning the facilities of the company Cinfo, a reference company in the audiovisual sector. Conde discovered the projects that are being developed in the field of artificial intelligence and also in the sector of unmanned aircraft through its collaboration in the Galician Aerospace Pole in the development of new digital solutions. He recalled that the 16 selected initiatives were known today, from which the six best proposals will participate in the first edition of the Aerospace Accelerator (BFAero).

Conde congratulated the Cinfo team for its positive results in both growth and turnover and encouraged the company to continue along this path, with projects that help it position itself internationally. The work of companies such as Cinfo contributes to Galicia achieving its objective of placing the ICT sector on the international map to compete with the major innovation centers. This sector brings together in the community five technological centers and 3,400 companies that generate 22,000 jobs in Galicia and that represent 2.1% of GDP. In addition, it is an industry that concentrates half of the turnover and 40% of employment in the province of A Coruña.

The Galician Regional Minister pointed out that the Galician Government will continue to accompany the Galician productive sector in its process of digital transformation, with tools such as the Agenda Industria 4.0  or the Plan Galicia Innova 2020, with the aim that new technologies reach every one of the Galician companies and to make innovation one of the distinguishing elements of the Galicia Brand: "We will facilitate all kinds of projects that allow building bridges between knowledge and business," he concluded.
