  • The director of Igape, Covadonga Toca, took part this morning in the Advanced Factories 2026 regions meeting, one of Europe’s leading events on advanced industry, which is currently being held in the Barcelona locality of L’Hospitalet de Llobregat. Within this forum, she took part in the panel Regions in Industrial Transformation: Evolution and Competitiveness, alongside officials from other autonomous communities.
  • The director of Igape highlighted the strength of Galicia’s industrial base, with an expanding innovative ecosystem and strong export capacity. In this context, she underlined the role of public policies in supporting businesses and improving their competitiveness, as well as the importance of facilitating access to finance and promoting internationalisation.
  • Likewise, Galicia presents itself as a reliable destination for industrial investment, thanks to institutional stability, legal certainty and public-private collaboration, which are key factors in attracting and consolidating long-term business projects.
  • Within the framework of the meeting, Galicia was recognised, together with other industrial territories, for its role over the past decade in driving a smarter, more sustainable and more connected industry. Finally, Toca emphasised as a priority “industrialising innovation” in order to bring technological advances to the business community as a whole, particularly SMEs.
