- The Xunta de Galicia reaffirmed today in Vigo its commitment to promoting innovative entrepreneurship as one of the main drivers of economic transformation, at the launch of the 19th edition of the Premios EmprendeXXI, held at the Museo de Arte Contemporánea. The event was attended by the Director General of XesGalicia, Raquel Rodríguez, who highlighted the evolution of the Galician entrepreneurial fabric in recent years and its growing impact on the economic development of the community.
- In her address, Rodríguez emphasised that Galicia already has an entrepreneurial ecosystem “that is working”, the result of a sustained strategy promoted by the Xunta through the Department of Economy and Industry and Igape. In this regard, she praised the existence of support instruments that accompany businesses from their initial stages to their consolidation in the market, combining funding, acceleration programmes, internationalisation and business collaboration.
- The Director of XesGalicia also dwelt on the role played by this public entity within this ecosystem, acting as a financial partner at key moments in the growth of companies. Thus, she highlighted that, beyond investment, XesGalicia provides “mentoring, trust and a long-term vision”, contributing to the consolidation and scaling of business projects with guarantees.
- Finally, Rodríguez praised the talent of the finalist projects in this edition, stating that they represent “a very powerful reflection of the moment Galicia is living”, with an innovative, diversified business fabric and an international vocation. She also underscored the importance of initiatives such as the Premios EmprendeXXI —promoted by CaixaBank and Enisa— in recognising, raising the profile of and boosting entrepreneurial talent, generating benchmarks and strengthening the Galician business ecosystem.
